Nurse Practitioner – Part Time
Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to play an essential role in ensuring high quality, patient-centered care and work closely with our patients to make a difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care for minor acute illnesses and provide comprehensive care for a a panel of patients needing intensive medical management.
- Develop and manage NP clinical activities, including patient scheduling, chart review, patient care and follow-up.
- Coordinate with director for activities involving clinical administration, appointment scheduling, patient referrals, etc.
- Support pharmacy team in ensuring timely access to medications and identifying additions to the formulary.

Nurse (Bilingual) – Full Time
Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) is seeking an experienced Bilingual Nurse to play an essential role in ensuring high quality, patient- centered care and work closely with our patients to make a difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing/triage of walk-in patients, planning their care and documenting in the EMR
- Scheduling patient appointments and organizing pre-appointment work-up and post appointment follow-up as ordered.
- Educating patients on managing symptoms, medications and self-care using teach back and motivational interviewing methods.
- Coordinating patient care with support of Medical Assistants
- Managing a panel of patients with chronic diseases
- Managing onsite and telehealth appointments with volunteer medical providers

Pre-Licensed Counselor, Bilingual – Full Time
Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) is seeking an experienced Bilingual Pre-Licensed Counselor to provide therapy to the Clinic’s patients with behavioral health concerns. The therapist would work with a diverse caseload including a majority of clients who speak Spanish. This position is a full time grant funded position for up to three years and is an opportunity for free clinical onsite supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mental health therapy to patients, under supervision of a Licensed Professional Counselor.
- Conduct behavioral health assessment and triage patients with mental/behavioral health concerns.
- Design and participate in the development of treatment plans, incorporating best and leading practices into treatment.
- Provide ongoing education for staff and volunteers on relevant behavioral health issues and organize in-service opportunities with community organizations.
- Manage and lead therapy and/or psychoeducational groups.
- Collaborate with clinical and behavioral health team members to coordinate patient care and ensure best outcomes.
- Provide positive, supportive, empathetic, and compassionate patient support and interactions for all patients.
- Provide emergency intervention as needed.
- Advocate on behalf of patients regarding rights and needed services.
- Responsible for timely and accurate completion of medical records.
- Track and report accurate data for behavioral health grants.
- Work closely with Behavioral Health manager and team members to continually evaluate and identify improvements to BH program.
- Attends staff and BH team meetings and clinic trainings as appropriate.

Non-Medical Services
Operations Coordinator – Full Time
Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) is seeking a dynamic, well-organized, team-oriented individual to join our operations team. The Operations Coordinator will work hands-on across the Clinic to support facilities, patient care, staff operations, IT, and business functions. The ideal candidate must have proven background and willingness to work in an atmosphere requiring flexibility and change and experience in supporting facility, IT, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor facility throughout the day ensuring systems are in working order and that any minor maintenance needs are captured and acted upon accordingly.
- Lead and manage office supply ordering, inventories, and distribution.
- In partnership with the Data Systems and Business Manager, ensure facility work orders are addressed in accordance with agency procedures.
- Manage Clinic’s equipment disposal/recycling needs and purging of confidential materials.
- Support staff in day-to-day operations and business needs, including IT support and troubleshooting, equipment upkeep and general training in partnership with the Data Systems and Business Manager.
