Bilingual Medical Assistant – Triage Line and Clinical Support

Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) is seeking a dynamic, well-organized, team-oriented individual to join our clinical team. This position is a key role working with the nurse team and volunteer providers and serves as the first line of contact with the clinic’s patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and triage patient calls for administrative needs and acute symptoms
  • Schedule patients for acute and follow-up appointments
  • Update/document all necessary information in patient records in EHR system
  • Triage walk-in patients and assess needs and consult with nurse
  • Give immunizations and conduct point of care testing as needed
  • Serve as interpreter for provider/nurse manager as needed
  • Assist in pre-clinic chart preparation and post-clinic appointment scheduling, referrals, prescribed testing, and follow-up calls as needed

Dental Services

Lead Dentist, Part Time

Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) is seeking a dynamic, well-organized, team-oriented individual to join our dental team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently and collaboratively as part of a team and already has experience with or is excited about working in a safety-net clinic. This is a part time position working 32 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic and advanced dental procedures, including simple to complex extractions, restorative, root canals therapy (including molars), establishing treatment plans, and managing dental emergencies
  • Perform all procedures of general dentistry including but not limited to dentures, bridges, night guards and crowns, using digital technology for many of these procedures.
  • Serve on Oral Health Integration Team to enhance clinic-wide practices towards comprehensive, connected, and patient-centered care.
  • Participate in community-based outreach and education regarding oral healthcare and general preventive health strategies.

Non-Medical Services

Director of Development & Communications

Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) is seeking an experienced, mission-minded Director of Development and Communications who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Clinic’s development and communications plan which includes fundraising appeals, individual and corporate giving, grants, donor relations, publications, communications, and events. The Director of Development and Communications is a key member of AFC’s leadership team and partners closely with leadership staff and other departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives. This position reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing annual fundraising plan and budget.
  • Leading grants program, including writing grants/reports and liaising with internal (program staff) and external (funders, grant writing firm) partners; administratively tracking awards/submissions.
  • Overseeing all aspects of the 750-attendee Annual Benefit Gala, working closely with Events Manager and volunteer leaders of event.
  • Overseeing print, web, and social media communications for the Clinic to include development, design, printing, and mailing of printed and electronic communications pieces such as newsletters, the Annual Report, EOY solicitation, and emails.
