Congratulations to Marie Markey, our long-time Physical Therapy volunteer, for receiving the Molina Healthcare Community Champion award! Recipients of this award demonstrate selfless dedication to improving the quality of life in the community they serve. A prime example of such dedication, Marie has over 2,300 hours of service at AFC since 2003, leading the physical therapy sessions AFC offers Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
In addition to her work at AFC, Marie runs the Annandale Christian Community for Action’s (ACCA) Family Emergencies program which helps families and individuals with food, medical or living assistance. She also works part-time at Inova Alexandria Hospital as a PRN physical therapist.
Congratulations, again, to Marie Markey for well-deserved recognition of her hard work and dedication!
