Arlington Free Clinic Volunteer Scribe Program
AFC volunteer medical scribes assist volunteer physicians by documenting patient encounters and managing administrative tasks during appointments. It is a wonderful opportunity for clinical experience, education, and to be part of a team dedicated to patient care and to health equity. We also like to think it’s pretty fun!
AFC’s scribe program is distinct from the general volunteer program. Volunteer scribes are onboarded in cohorts three times a year (spring, summer, and fall). Applicants must meet specific requirements to be considered and commit to a year of weekly service. The scribe program is a competitive application process and, unfortunately, we receive far more applicants than we are able to accept.

To learn more details about the program and how to apply, please review this slide deck . Please contact Maria Callapa, Scribe Coordinator & EHR Trainer, at mcallapa@arlingtonfreeclinic.org if you have any additional questions.
