AFC has once again earned the prestigious 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest charity evaluator. Each year, non-profits throughout the nation are evaluated in three areas: 1) financial, 2) accountability and transparency and 3) effectiveness and results. Based on Charity Navigator’s independent evaluation, charities are assigned a rating from one to four stars.
According to Ken Berger, President and CEO of Charity Navigator, “Only 19% of the charities we rate have received at least two consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Arlington Free Clinic consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America.”
AFC’s Executive Director, Nancy S. Pallesen, says that the Clinic has a long history of providing excellence in organizational and financial management. “We’ve always been committed to providing top quality care and using donated funds wisely. Our 4-star rating is another way to demonstrate to our donors and supporters that AFC is worthy of their trust.
This is the third year AFC has earned Charity Navigator’s coveted 4-star rating.
